Road & Pavement Construction

Water is one of the main causes of road and pavement failure throughout the world.

An increase in moisture content beyond design specifications, or through some defect in construction, can weaken and deform the road. Water can move into a road from a variety of sources:

Adressing the root problem

Unless the root cause of the problem is treated, ongoing repairs can be expensive. Over time such weakness can completely destroy the road.

The effects of insufficient drainage are exacerbated in the presence of salt. This can occur whether the roads are in the city or in the countryside.

For best results, Capiphon™ can be installed underneath and/or directly on the basement sub-grade during construction. It can, however, be used to great effect to stabilise and repair roads or, as in the case of Chiang Kai-shek International Airport below, runways and other paved surfaces.

Serious Alternative to Ag Pipe

Ag pipe is also called aggie, agricultural pipe, ag line etc. Capiphon also out-performs slotted pipe.
